LASG EXTENDS OUNJE EKO FOOD INTERVENTION TO YOUTHS CONSTITUENCY

  The Lagos State Government has demonstrated a heightened commitment to social inclusion through several recent initiatives. One such initiative is the extension of its food intervention program, Ounje Eko, to the youth constituency. This effort is spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, led by Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Honorable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development. On Wednesday, 19th June 2024, the distribution commenced in the Lagos Division at Onikan Youth Centre. While on Thursday, 20th June, youths in the Ikorodu Division benefited from this intervention commemorated at Ita-Elewa Youth Centre. The remaining three divisions will be activated over the next few days to ensure that, while the entire youth population of the state cannot be catered to at once, the intervention significantly impacts each division. LAGOS STATE SET TO EMPOWER ONE MILLION YOUTH THROUGH LAG-UP INITIATIVE

On Tuesday 18th June 2024, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, announced a groundbreaking initiative for Lagos Youth: the Upskilling Program (LAG-UP). Held in the conference room of the Ministry of Youth, Hon. Ogunlende was flanked by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, management staff, and esteemed partners as he unveiled this program, which aims to empower participants aged 18 to 35 with cutting-edge virtual training over a minimum period of three months. The LAG-UP initiative, launched in collaboration with Wema Bank PLC and GFA Technologies, offers participants the chance to earn certifications from prestigious partners such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, and AWS. LAGOS COMMISSIONER, OGUNLENDE SECURES NFL RECRUITMENT FOR LAGOS YOUTHS, OTHERS

In January 2024, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, received an American NFL contingent to Lagos State and showcased the state’s sports facilities through a strategic tour. This visit laid the foundation for a collaborative effort to enhance the prospects of young athletes in Lagos. On Monday 17th June 2024, the Commissioner announced via his social media handles that over 5 intense days, the NFL team has conducted an extensive recruitment process, identifying and selecting talented players from Lagos and twelve other countries across Africa. The recruitment draft has now been finalised, with eight players selected, two from Lagos and six from other African countries.   On tuesday 18th June 2024, Hon. Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Officials Receive Official Vehicles for Enhanced Service Delivery

In a bid to enhance service delivery within the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), the Executive Chairman, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, presented new official vehicles to top council officials on Monday, June 5th, 2023. During the presentation,  attended by notable council officials and party stalwarts, Akogun Anomo emphasized the importance of providing the necessary tools to aid the officials in carrying out their daily duties. The beneficiaries of the official vehicles include the Vice-Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu, the six councilors, members of the executive cabinet, and senior management staff of the LCDA. It was all jubilation today for the people of the Ancient town of Agbowa-Ikosi as the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area Akogun Wale Raji Anomo presented the staff of office to H.R.M. Oba Saheed Owolabi Momson as the Abowa of Agbowa kingdom at the Epe Local Government Council Chamber, Itamarun, Epe. Along with the Abowa of Agbowa, Mr. Governor also presented staff of offices to HRM. Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo (Gbadewolu 1) as the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri land and HRM.
