Easter Message and Felicitation from Akogun Wale Raji Anomo

Easter is a season that brings to mind the selflessness, love, and tolerance which were the hallmark of Jesus Christ during His earthly life. it is a season when we should pause and reflect on our individual and collective roles towards promoting and sustaining that foundation of love, peace, harmony and sacrifice for collective development of our society.

It is my hope and prayer that as we celebrate the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ today, his lessons of self-sacrifice, brotherly love, placing others before self, tolerance, obedience, respect for constituted authorities, honesty, justice and fairness to all will take firmer root in our beloved LCDA and help us to build more peaceful, secure, united, progressive and prosperous Ikosi-Ejinrin of our dreams.

May God fill our homes with peace, love, and joy even as we enjoy the abundance of Grace that Easter brings.

On behalf of my Family, the Executive Members, Legislative Arm, Management team members, Staff and good people of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, I join my counterparts across the world to celebrate and wish all Christian faithful, residents of Ikosi-Ejinrin and Nigerians a Happy Easter celebration.

ANOMO INTRODUCES ₦50,000 MONTHLY SUPPORT ALLOWANCE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN IKOSI-EJINRIN

In a bold step to further strengthen the foundation of basic education, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area , Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo , has introduced a Primary School Support Allowance for all public primary schools within the LCDA . Under this new initiative, each of the 17 public primary schools in Ikosi-Ejinrin will receive a monthly allowance of ₦50,000 to support their smooth operations and day-to-day running. The Chairman made this announcement when the Education Secretary, Epe LGEA , Otunba Shittu Aliu Idowu , alongside the leadership of AOPSHON (Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria), Ikosi-Ejinrin chapter, paid him a congratulatory visit at the Council Secretariat. During the visit, the delegation presented a gift to the Chairman in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth of education since assuming office. IKOSI-EJINRIN LCDA HOLDS MENSTRUAL HYGIENE ENLIGHTENMENT FOR TEENAGE GIRLS

In a bid to promote healthy living and empower the girl child, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area on Wednesday 17th September, 2025 organized a special enlightenment program on menstrual hygiene for teenage girls drawn from secondary schools across the LCDA. The event was held at the Council Secretariat, Agbowa . The program, themed “Menstrual Hygiene: Caring for the Girl Child,” was facilitated by the Council Chairperson, Dr. Olajumoke Nafisat Anomo , a seasoned medical doctor, who also served as the host.  In her welcome address, Dr. Anomo explained the rationale behind the initiative, urging the students to pay close attention and participate actively. She further demonstrated practical steps in maintaining proper menstrual and general hygiene, equipping the girls with knowledge for healthier and more confident living.
