AKOGUN WALE RAJI ANOMO CONGRATULATES GOV. SANWOOLU And DR. HAMZAT ON THEIR RE-ELECTION
The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo has congratulated the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, and his Deputy Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on their re-election as Governor and Deputy Governor for a second term in office.
In a statement released and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Areh AbdulHamid, in Agbowa on Monday, Akogun Anomo described the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu as “the confirmation of the will of the people and attestation to the general acceptability of the progressive works of the APC in Lagos State”, and called on Nigerians to always stand for good leaders as Lagosians just did for Governor Sanwoolu.
“It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I congratulate my bosses, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat on their re-election as Governor and Deputy Governor of Lagos State.
“Mr. Governor Sir, It is heart-warming to see you re-emerge as Governor of Lagos State against all odds, and I am grateful to the people of Lagos for standing up against entreaties of retrogressive forces and self-seeking opportunists who were deviously bent on subverting the wishes of the people and taking Lagos back to the dark ages.
“Let me also thank the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for being truly independent as required by the laws of our land.
“The most significant aspect of this victory is the peaceful outcome of the election as Lagos people proved pundits wrong by ensuring that the elections were devoid of violence,” he said.
"On behalf of my wife, the Executive cabinet, Legislators, Management, Staff and the good people of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, I congratulate you, your Excellency, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and your amiable deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on this resounding re-election by the resilient people of Lagos State who displayed honour, dignity and courage. We are assured that indeed a greater Lagos has now risen.."
Signed:
Areh AbdulHamid Olabowale
Chief Press Secretary
