Akogun Wale Anomo felicitates with Workers on 2023 Labour Day


I am pleased to join with workers and all trade unions across nigeria, Lagos state and Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area in particular to celebrate the year 2023 labour day – a day which is specially set aside for commendation and appreciation of the invaluable contributions of our working men and women.


Our workers in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA are our most priced asset as they are indispensable to our progress, growth and  development. they provide the brain and muscle of our economy. 

On this day, I want to once again reiterate my commitment to ensuring a better life for all in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA through delivery of projects that will add value to our economy and make life easier for us all, especially our workers who are unarguably the prime force in transforming our resources into wealth. they help drive and sustain economic growth and are the protagonists of human development. without workers, the economy of the nation would grind to a halt.

every worker, whether in the formal or informal sectors, employed in the traditional or an emerging sector;  engaged in the private or public sector, has a critical role to play in helping to navigate our economic recovery and advancing economic growth and development.


I once again salute all workers and their representative organizations for your priceless efforts.

ANOMO INTRODUCES ₦50,000 MONTHLY SUPPORT ALLOWANCE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN IKOSI-EJINRIN

In a bold step to further strengthen the foundation of basic education, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area , Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo , has introduced a Primary School Support Allowance for all public primary schools within the LCDA . Under this new initiative, each of the 17 public primary schools in Ikosi-Ejinrin will receive a monthly allowance of ₦50,000 to support their smooth operations and day-to-day running. The Chairman made this announcement when the Education Secretary, Epe LGEA , Otunba Shittu Aliu Idowu , alongside the leadership of AOPSHON (Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria), Ikosi-Ejinrin chapter, paid him a congratulatory visit at the Council Secretariat. IKOSI-EJINRIN LCDA HOLDS MENSTRUAL HYGIENE ENLIGHTENMENT FOR TEENAGE GIRLS

In a bid to promote healthy living and empower the girl child, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area on Wednesday 17th September, 2025 organized a special enlightenment program on menstrual hygiene for teenage girls drawn from secondary schools across the LCDA. The event was held at the Council Secretariat, Agbowa . The program, themed “Menstrual Hygiene: Caring for the Girl Child,” was facilitated by the Council Chairperson, Dr. Olajumoke Nafisat Anomo , a seasoned medical doctor, who also served as the host.  In her welcome address, Dr. Anomo explained the rationale behind the initiative, urging the students to pay close attention and participate actively. She further demonstrated practical steps in maintaining proper menstrual and general hygiene, equipping the girls with knowledge for healthier and more confident living.
