Akogun Wale Anomo hosts members of Unified Local Government Muslim Staff Association for Annual Ramadan Lecture



The Executive Chairman, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo in conjunction with the Unified Local Government Muslim staff Association, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Chapter on Wednesday 19th of April, 2023 held its Annual Ramadan Lecture at the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Secretariat, Epe, Lagos State.


In attendance at the lecture was the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu; Former Executive Secretary of the LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Yusuf; Executive Members of the Unified Muslim Staff association, Management memebers amongst others. 


The Guest lecturer, Ustadh Sherifdeen Babatunde spoke on the topic Disease of the heart and their cures.  

In his lecture, he espoused what the Qur'an identifies as diseases of the heart and how best to cure them as the prevention and deliberate cure of the diseases of the heart is how man can gain the mercy of Almighty Allah and attain eternal bliss. Ustaz Sheriff also urged Muslim faithfuls to inculcate the habit of sincere repentance, supplicate to God for forgiveness, follow the do's of Allah, refrain from the Don'ts while also living imbibe the teachings of the Prophet (S.A.W).

ANOMO INTRODUCES ₦50,000 MONTHLY SUPPORT ALLOWANCE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN IKOSI-EJINRIN

In a bold step to further strengthen the foundation of basic education, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area , Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo , has introduced a Primary School Support Allowance for all public primary schools within the LCDA . Under this new initiative, each of the 17 public primary schools in Ikosi-Ejinrin will receive a monthly allowance of ₦50,000 to support their smooth operations and day-to-day running. The Chairman made this announcement when the Education Secretary, Epe LGEA , Otunba Shittu Aliu Idowu , alongside the leadership of AOPSHON (Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria), Ikosi-Ejinrin chapter, paid him a congratulatory visit at the Council Secretariat. IKOSI-EJINRIN LCDA HOLDS MENSTRUAL HYGIENE ENLIGHTENMENT FOR TEENAGE GIRLS

In a bid to promote healthy living and empower the girl child, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area on Wednesday 17th September, 2025 organized a special enlightenment program on menstrual hygiene for teenage girls drawn from secondary schools across the LCDA. The event was held at the Council Secretariat, Agbowa . The program, themed “Menstrual Hygiene: Caring for the Girl Child,” was facilitated by the Council Chairperson, Dr. Olajumoke Nafisat Anomo , a seasoned medical doctor, who also served as the host.  In her welcome address, Dr. Anomo explained the rationale behind the initiative, urging the students to pay close attention and participate actively. She further demonstrated practical steps in maintaining proper menstrual and general hygiene, equipping the girls with knowledge for healthier and more confident living.
