Akogun Wale Anomo Receives Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Primary Healthcare
The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, on Wednesday received members of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Primary Healthcare. The committee, led by her Chairman, Hon. Noheem Adams and Hon. Femi Saheed and other members of the committee, came on an inspection visitation to all Primary Healthcare centres in the LCDA.
Akogun Anomo, accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Alh. Wasiu Dehinsilu; Head of Administration, Barr. Ladipo Shobule; Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Orebiyi; Supervisor for Health, Hon. Sijuade Samuel and other Executive Cabinet members and management team, welcomed the committee members and acknowledged their efforts towards the optimum Standardization of Primary Healthcare centres across the State in order to serve Lagosians effectively.
During the visit, Akogun Wale Anomo reassured the committee of his administration’s commitment to improving the quality of health service delivery in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA as he reeled out his statistics since he assumed office.
The committee members were delighted with the management of the active facilities and the Chairman's activities on health as they also promised to support the LCDA in the areas where it needed assistance from the State Government especially in equipping and employment of Personell needed to get the newly built PHC's running as access to quality health service by every Lagosian is a priority of the House of Assembly.
Some of the Healthcentre inspected include Agbowa PHC; Owu-Ikosi PHC; Newly built Ajebo PHC; Orugbo PHC and the Ongoing construction of Comprehensive Healthcentre at Itoikin Community. The visit by the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Primary Healthcare was borne out of the desire of the House of Assembly to improve healthcare services delivery across Lagos State, especially through the maximum optimization and utilization of PHC's.
