FIDAU PRAYER FOR LATE HON. SHAKIRU BELLO: DIGNITARIES GATHER TO PRAY, CELEBRATE A WELL LIVED LIFE

 

The 8th day Fidau Prayer for the late Hon. Shakirudeen Olukorede Bello (aka Hon. Lekki), former Special Adviser on Budget and Appropriation, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, held at his residence in Odo-Iragunshin on July 14, 2024, was a poignant celebration of his life and legacy.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Alhaji Shakiru Akanni Seriki (BAMU), Hon. Tasir Wale Raji (MHR, Epe Federal Constituency), Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu (MHA, Epe Constituency II), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo (Executive Chairman, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA), Hon. Wasiu Odeyemi (WASTAB), Yeye Olayinka Olusanya, APC Vice-chairman Lagos East, Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi, Welfare Officer, APC Lagos State, Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf, Hon. Wittu Ajenifuja, APC Chairman, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and other prominent Political Leaders, professionals, and sympathizers.

The prayer session was filled with emotions, testimonies, and tributes to the late Hon. Bello, who was remembered for his dedication, expertise, and selfless service. The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, eulogized Hon. Bello as a pillar of support and a diligent member of the Executive cabinet, whose contributions would be greatly missed.



The event featured admonitions from religious leaders, urging attendees to reflect on their lifestyles, repent, and embrace the act of doing good unconditionally, as this is the path to eternal rest. Ulamahs present also prayed for the repose of his soul.


Hon. Shakiru Bello, who passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the age of 60, was buried on Sunday, July 7, 2024, according to Islamic tenets. During his lifetime, he made significant contributions to the development of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and the community, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication.


May Almighty Allah forgive him of his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
